Experiencing Inner Peace at the Beach
The beach is the perfect place to be one with nature while connecting with your inner serenity. The sound of the waves, the smell of the salty breezes, and the feel of the cool sand beneath your feet are the ideal combination of experiencing peace on earth. Upon exiting the car, the sun instantly caresses your skin and the wind strokes your face, causing whatever stress you may have been feeling to fly away. Out of all the beautiful places on the earth, I believe the beach is the most unique, given its splendor. Have you ever tried lying down on the shore and gazing out at the water? It’s hard not to be overcome with the vastness of God’s creation. Just breathing in the fresh ocean air alone has proved to be beneficial to one’s health and has been known to reduce one’s blood pressure. There’s just something about looking at the rippling waves in the ocean as your eyes gaze out into the deep. It’s hard not to get lost in it all. When was the last time you experienced inner peace at the beach? As I was writing this article, I couldn’t help but to think about how we also are an integral part of creation designed by the same hand that said to the ocean, “Let there be.” And it was! Inner peace is manifested when you release your cares upon the same God who created the water. Do you see a visit to the beach in your near future? Although summertime has ended, the beach is inviting all year round. A trip to the beach also doesn’t have to break the bank. There are some great local beaches near your own back yard.
So today, why not tell yourself, “My next trip is to the beach so I can experience inner peace while losing myself in the glory of God’s creation.”
