I have not done the impossible
Nor the improbable
I am not notable
I have not become iconic
Nor remotely idolic
I am not extraordinary
Quite the opposite actually
Everything I am is ordinary
Just boring factually
I have not changed the world
I have not returned from a great fall
I have not spoken the essential word
I have not mattered much at all
I am just as plain as day
A meaningless vessel
Insignificant you could say
Truly not very special
I am merely regular
I am like everyone else
Or they are like myself
I am a son
But a father to no one
I am a brother
And I guess half of one
Born to another
I have a wife
And dear friends
I have a life
More precious as it ends
I am a creator
Just not very Godly
Or maybe I see things oddly
I am not inspirational
